Riverboat Aeries for student teams to live and study on.
Each team lives and maintains large family skills on the houseboats.
Large river cruise boats are ideal team building platforms. Call them river nomads or gipsies if you like, BUT our VET student teams live onboard learning team skills, learn tourism, hospitality and cookery skills, and care services training on the boats as their team support base.
They can move to practical work experience places. as opportunities become available anywhere along the river. So long as the boat moves moorings every 20 days we do not pay for moorings.
Aerie On Murray will purchase or build more river cruise boats as student numbers grow.
Students learn & work with Clubs, Community Groups & Busines
Community purchase lease of a riverfront pub.
A long term lease of this one overlooking the Murray is available. Students help work the pub as part of their real work VET skills development. Pubs are always looking for good young staff with hospitality skills training.
Negotiating share campus with Mannum Rowing Club.
The clubhouse is the shared space identified as the Aerie College "Campus". Students are residential on Houseboats moored at the Mary Anne reserve on "Campus Days" and elsewhere on the 50m riverfront reserves when students are working online or in the environment.
Aerie students and their Boat Master teachers are river nomads. They have a very enjoyable life.
