If you want payment, you do what we say.
If you volunteer, we make sure you are OK with your needs and that you play your own game (within our general volunteer guidelines). Our Wild ones will love you because they will see themselves doing what you do.
Our immediate need is registered teachers, youth workers, and helpers; old or young, volunteers, or salaried; to assist with the development of the Aerie Collegiate Community.
Teaching subjects needed (No need for teacher registration. We can cover that.)
Teaching and working with young people used to be most enjoyable and rewarding - not any longer in the state schools. It is not the dislike of working with young people that causes the current dropout. Ask any teacher you know, and they will tell you the same thing. As Shakespeare wrote, "There is something rotten in the state of Denmark" (Government management of schools and youth.)
Aerie Collegiate Community College has many work opportunities, Volunteer and Paid, to Grow young people, Aerie Community enrolment numbers, and Collegiate viability.
Phone Capt Bouc to chat about your dream teaching. 0449 934 204 We may be a good fit.
You are invited to tell us what you would like to do within the Aerie Collegiate Community. You write your job description. Chat with our senior team about what you want to do. What money (if any) do you need? What living arrangements? Perhaps on campus?
Youths have fuzzy dreams they can't quite understand. We help them clarify and go for it. We all have dreams. We believe Aerie Collegiate Community can support and clarify dreams for both students and teachers. In effect, we offer a GAP Year for both students and disillusioned teachers.
Aerie learning options must comply with the national curriculum, BUT, it can be very broad and flexible in delivery. We plan to do this in ways different from most of the existing high schools. Our style is full-time living and learning with time out when necessary to refresh.
We welcome all adventurers to our Collegiate Community, teacher-qualified or not. If you have a skills you want to teach, come and do it with us. No need to be a registered teacher. Onboarding of staff, students, families, and retirees will progress over time as the Collegiate Community expands with Government Grants, Student fees, family and corporate investments, and donations. There is a place with the ANCOM Community for all enthusiastic adventurers.
We especially welcome volunteer or retired teachers who have retained their registration. Most of us oldies enjoy teaching but reject the ever-increasing demands in the existing schools. Teacher burnout is common. The pressures are off at Aerie College. We work on our own time. Try Aerie for respite.
We can all be philanthropic with our time even though money may be limited. Our Community is collectively working to benefit our members, mostly young, some older, and some of us, ancient, who have needs that may be able to be satisfied within our Collegiate Community.
Our special assistance focus is on the "Cracked Pots OR Wild Child"; the imperfect, the different, the unhappy teens, young adults, and older people who have been damaged by sudden unemployment, loss of a partner, PTSD, or other events that have put them down.
We aim to build different opportunities and more rewarding flight paths for all our people.
